Preparation
Combine pecans and almonds in a large bowl.
In a small saucepan, heat together the remaining ingredients, except the salt. Pour hot mixture over nuts. Toss well to completely coat all ingredients. Sprinkle with salt and toss again.
Let cool and then package nuts in decorative jars or cello-wrap with a colourful ribbon.
Most nuts, in particular walnuts and pecans, supply heart-healthy omega-3 fats.
