Preparation
Arrange lettuce as first layer in the bottom of the bowl. Cover with a layer of chopped tomatoes, then green peppers.
Top with a layer of grated cheese followed with a layer of sliced celery.
Follow with a layer of peas. Cooking the peas is not required.
Combine mayonnaise and sour cream. Spread over the layer of peas.
Sprinkle green onions and bacon, if using, as the final layer.
Refrigerate until serving. This salad can be made up to 1 day before.
